Partnership Opportunities
The first active NCAA Division II institution in Northeast Ohio, Lake Erie College is growing into one of the premier athletic programs in the region. Just five years ago, Lake Erie fielded 10 varsity teams at the Division III level. The school’s roster of athletic offerings now features 23 sports, the Storm became an active member of Division II and the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), viewed as the nation’s premier D-II athletic conference. Lake Erie is also a charter member of the East Coast Athletic Confernece (ECAC) Division II Lacrosse League.
Over 25,000 fans attend Lake Erie sporting events each year and more are expected to make their way to Painesville with the Storm’s increased prescence and conference expansion. Nearly 40,000 fans enjoy GLIAC football each week and the average attendance for league basketball games in the league is over 2,000 for men’s basketball and 1,200 for women’s games.
