Several times each spring, the Lake Erie College baseball team gets to live out "big league dreams" on the field at Classic Park in Eastlake. Since 2004, the Storm has played several dates in one of minor league baseball's premier facilities.
Constructed by the city of Eastlake for $20 million prior to the start of the 2003 season, Classic Park is home to the Lake County Captains, the Single-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. The 7,000-seat venue features a surface that was voted the South Atlantic League's best three times and has a 4,000-square foot indoor batting facility with two full-sized batting cages utilized by the Storm and its opponents on game day.
The park is approximately a 15-minute drive from campus and is accessible from both Interstate 90 and Route 2. Ample parking is available surrounding the stadium.
