Storm Club Annual Clam Bake
With the opening of the 2010-11 sports
season on the horizon, the Lake Erie College Storm Club is
celebrating with its annual kickoff event and clambake on
Wednesday, August 25 at 6 p.m. on the grounds of the Victor Manor
House, home of Lake Erie College President Michael T. Victor.
Jim Raimondo, chair of the Storm Club and vice president of Ancora
Advisors, helped start the club in 2008 as a way to raise funds and
build awareness for Lake Erie College Storm athletic teams.
“The alumni, parent and community support to Storm athletics
has been overwhelming, especially in the past few years,”
said Raimondo. “We want to continue to foster that
enthusiasm.”
The Victor Manor House is located at the George M. Humphrey
Equestrian Center on Morley Road in Concord Twp. President Michael
T. Victor and his wife, Craige, have revived many of the traditions
of the 20,000-square foot presidential mansion, which was
completely restored in 2007.
The price for the event is $65 per person. Interested parties can
