QUICK NOTES:
After a two-game home stand, Lake Erie travels to top-ranked Grand
Valley State on Saturday night for a GLIAC tilt in Allendale,
Mich... the Storm (0-6, 0-5 GLIAC) has outgained five of its first
six opponents in total yardage this season, including a
498-315 edge last Saturday night against Wayne State. However, the
Storm has been outscored 209-115 on the season and has a minus-14
turnover margin... the 28-16 loss to Wayne State was the Storm's
seventh straight dating back to the 2009 season... despite the
loss, junior QB Sean
Bedevelsky (Brunswick) completed 22-of-40 passes for 302 yards
and two touchdowns (one interception). It was his fourth
career 300-yard passing game... Lake Erie is 0-2 all-time
against DII ranked teams, including a 42-37 loss at #8 Hillsdale
three weeks ago... the undefeated Lakers (6-0, 5-0), have won
10 straight regular season games overall and 28 straight at home...
the defending national runners-up defeated Northern Michigan 28-7
last week, limiting the Wildcats to just 94 total
yards.
