PAINESVILLE, OHIO – The Lake Erie College Department of Athletics and Office of Career Services and Internships are teaming up to recognize local employers at the Storm football game on Saturday, Oct. 20, against the University of Findlay. Kickoff for "Employer Appreciation Day" is set for 1 p.m. at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium in Painesville Kiwanis Recreation Park.
Businesses that currently provide internship and job opportunities to Lake Erie students and alumni or are members of the Storm Business Network and Storm Central job database are invited to attend that afternoon's game for free.
"This is a great way to say thank you to the employers who host interns, hire alums and post open positions on Storm Central," said Erin Nunn, Director of Career Services and Internships. "We are very appreciative of the opportunities these companies provide to Lake Erie College students and not only want to recognize them but also have an opportunity for outreach with potential new partners."
Interested employers can request their free tickets and RSVP for the game through the Career Services and Internships office by calling 440.375.7080 or emailing email@example.com. Tickets will be available for pick-up prior to the game at the Will Call tent by the main gate.
This is the second such event that the two departments have presented, including the inaugural Emplyer Appreciation Night during last basketball season, with several more planned throughout the school year.
