QUICK NOTES: Lake Erie is on the road for the second straight week and the fourth time in the season's first six weeks as it goes for its first win of the season Saturday night at Notre Dame College… this the first meeting of DII teams ever in Northeast Ohio and the first matchup on the gridiron between the two schools, separated by less than 24 miles… Lake Erie started football as a club team in 2008 and had its first varsity season in 2009. Notre Dame followed with a developmental season in 2009 and went varsity in 2010… the Storm is coming off a 68-21 loss at Ashland last week… freshman RB Anthony Bilal (Painesville, Ohio/ Riverside) rushed for a game-high 103 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the loss, his second 100-yard rushing game of the season… sophomore WR Andrew Schickler (Doylestown, Ohio/Chippewa) set career highs with six catches for 79 yards and also caught a touchdown pass for the second straight week… senior QB Patrick Nicely (Willoughby, Ohio/South/Akron) completed a season-high 67.8% of his passes for 189 yards and a TD at Ashland, but was intercepted twice… after posting a plus-3 turnover margin in their first three games, the Storm is minus-4 in the last two… after a season-opening win over Mercyhurst, Notre Dame has dropped four in a row to start their first and only season of competition in the GLIAC… the Falcons lost last week at Findlay in overtime, 43-42… NDC ranks fourth in the conference and 27th nationally in rushing offense, led by Pedro Powell (147.8 ypg)… while the two schools are meeting for the first time in football, they regularly play in other sports.  To date this fall, Lake Erie has a 4-1 lead with wins in volleyball and women's soccer.
