Storm Football Excels in the Classroom During Spring Semester

PAINESVILLE, OHIO -- Nearly 50 Lake Erie College football student-athletes posted grade point averages of 3.0 or better during the recently completed spring semester, witha total of 46 Storm players earning those marks.

This followed the fall semester in which 19 Storm players earned All-Academic and Academic Excellence recognition from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

"In addition to working hard in preparation for their sport, our guys have proven they are working hard in the classroom as well," said defensive coordinator Tom Anthony who also serves as the team's academic coordinator. "We're very proud of the effort they've put it and to have nearly 50 players post GPA's over 3.0 is very impressive."

Eighteen of the players earned GPA's of at least 3.5, including four with perfect 4.0's during the term.
