Wells Named to DII Preseason All-Ohio Team

Complete Preseason All-Ohio Division II Team Release

COLUMBUS, OHIO -- Lake Erie College junior outside linebacker Tanner Wells (Carrollton, Texas/Parish Episcopal) was named to the Preseason All-Ohio Division II Defensive Team released Tuesday (Aug. 6) by OhioCollegeFootball.com. 

Wells is coming off a solid sophomore season that saw him finish second on the team with 81 total tackles and tie for the team lead in both tackles for loss (nine) and interceptions (3). He was an All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honorable mention selection and earned GLIAC Special Teams Player of the Week during the season following his play in a win over Notre Dame College that included a 48-yard touchdown run on a fake punt.

The Storm football team reports to campus Aug. 14 and the first day of fall camp is slated for the following day.  Lake Erie opens the 2013 campaign Thursday night, Sept. 5, at home against rival Gannon University in the Battle for the Ship's Wheel trophy.
