Quick Notes: Coming off a strong all-around performance in picking up their first win of the season, the Lake Erie College football team looks for its second straight victory this week on the road at Saginaw Valley State… the Storm defeated Wayne State 35-17 on Saturday, snapping a four-game overall losing streak and a 16-game losing streak against teams from Michigan… Lake Erie held Wayne State to just 252 total yards, including 4-of-20 passing (53 yards) and forced four turnovers… Austin Hoeflich (Fredericktown, Ohio/Fredericktown) had 13 tackles, a sack and an interception and Isaiah Bell (Youngstown, Ohio/Liberty/Michigan) returned a fumble 97 yards for a touchdown – the longest play in school history… Anthony Bilal (Painesville, Ohio/Riverside) ran for a game-high 138 yards – his fourth straight 100-yard game – and two touchdowns, running his NCAA Division II-leading total to nine TDs this year…after a season-opening loss, SVSU has won two straight, including a 35-34 road win at Findlay in week two.
