If you are a fan of the current Lake Erie College men's team or if you followed the old West Geauga teams that went to back-to-back state championship games in the late 1980s or are just a high school basketball supporter in general, "Monday Night Fast Break" at Hooley House is the place to be Monday.

Storm coach Cliff Hunt and members of the Lake Erie men's team will be on hand Monday as special guests on "Monday Night Fast Break" - The News-Herald's live basketball talk show and audiocast recording at Hooley House on Route 306 in Mentor. The show airs live from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and is also available for download the next day at www.News-Herald.com.

In addition to talking about the state of the Storm basketball program, several members of the West Geauga state runner-up teams that Hunt coached in 1987 and 1988 - including Euclid coach Andy Suttell, Perry coach Chad Frazier and former Bowling Green standout Shane Kline-Ruminski - are expected to be on hand to discuss the Wolverines' glory days.

The Fast Break panel will also break down last week's prep action and take a look ahead to next week's games, including three monster matchups next Saturday - highlighted by Mentor at St. Edward.

Those expected include Bob Krizancic (Mentor), Suttell, Frazier, Matt Moran (Chardon), Shawn McGregor (Hawken), Mark Chicone (Lake Catholic), Pete Moran (Berkshire) and Matt Ridgeway (Kirtland).

Also, Hiram coach Steve Fleming and assistant coach Dave Munson (former South head coach) will be on hand, as will representatives from College Prospects of America to answer any college recruiting questions for players, coaches or parents.

The show is open to all high school basketball fans. Hooley House is located on Route 306 near Tyler Boulevard. Pizza specials for $5 are offered during "Monday Night Fast Break".
