LAKE ERIE LOOKS TO SNAP STREAK IN TOUGH ROAD TESTS: The Lake Erie College men's basketball team (7-9, 2-7 GLIAC) looks to snap a four-game losing streak as it travels to face two of the top teams in the GLIAC South this week facing the University of Findlay Thursday and Wayne State University Saturday.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE STORM: Sophomore center Rich Austin (Cleveland, Ohio/St Ignatius scored a game-high 19 points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds but it was not enough as Lake Erie dropped its fourth straight GLIAC contest to Saginaw Valley State, 68-51

SERIES NOTES: Lake Erie has never beaten Findlay in 12 meetings dating back to the Storm's first season of basketball in 1988-89. The closest meeting came just two weeks ago (Jan. 12) when the Storm fell to the Oilers in overtime, 67-64 in Painesville.

OPPOSITION POSITION: Findlay (13-4, 7-3 GLIAC) is second in the GLIAC South, having closed the gap last game giving first-place Hillsdale its first conference loss Saturday, 90-73. The Oilers are 10-1 at home this season and have won 114 of their last 115 regular season home contests.   Findlay is led by senior guard Kyle Caiola (cousin of LEC women's basketball player Jen Caiola) with 14.2 ppg.

AUSTIN ALL-IN: Sophomore Rich Austin has made a huge leap after a solid freshman season. Austin is averaging 12.6 ppg. and 6.3 rpg., leading the team in both categories. He has reached double figure scoring in 11-of-16 games this season. The Cleveland St. Ignatius grad averaged 6.0 ppg. as a freshman.

BEST YET?: In its three seasons as a member of NCAA Division II the most single season wins Lake Erie reached was 11 in 2009-10.  With 10 games remaining, the Storm has a strong chance to exceed that total this season.

THREE-POINT THWARTING: Lake Erie is leading the GLIAC in three-point defense this season, holding opponents to just .309 (84-of-272) on attempts from behind the arc.
