NOTABLES: The Lake Erie College men's basketball team kick off the 2013 with a trip up north for a pair of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic contests against Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan and Thursday and Saturday repectively. The Storm picked up their first conference win last time out on Dec. 19 with a 58-56 win over Northwood University. Riley Thomas (Cardington, Ohio/Cardington-Lincoln) led the way for the Storm as the junior guard scored 20 points. Junior forward Rich Austin (Cleveland, Ohio/St. Ignatius) added 10 points and seven rebounds. Sophomore Jamil Dudley (Massillon, Ohio/Massillon) and freshman Andy Bosley (Columbus, Ohio/Orange) blocked shots in the final 10 seconds to secure the win. Thomas has scored 20 points in the Storm's last two games. Dudley currently leads the GLIAC in three-point shooting, hitting 60% this season. Lqake Erie has forced an average of 18.1 turnovers per game and has an average of 9.7 steals per game, both ranked second in the GLIAC.

 

NEXT UP: The Storm travel back to Ohio next weekend as they visit GLIAC newcomers Malone University and Walsh University on Jan. 10 and 12 respectively.
