NOTABLES: The Lake Erie College men's basketball team open up Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference South Division play as they travel to Canton, Ohio to face league newcomer Malone University. The Storm (4-7, 1-6 GLIAC) are coming off a pair of road losses this past weekend to Michigan Tech University and Northern Michigan University. Riley Thomas (Cardington, Ohio/Cardington-Lincoln) leads the Storm with 13.3 ppg and has scored in double-digits in the past four games and seven overall this season. Rich Austin (Cleveland, Ohio/St. Ignatius) is averaging 12.3 ppg and leads the team with 6.7 rpg. Lake Erie has found success from beyond the arch this season, hitting 38% of their three-point attempts. Jamil Dudley (Massillon, Ohio/Massillon) leads the GLIAC in three-point shooting with a 55.6% average. The Storm is forcing 18.1 turnovers per a contest and averaging 9.8 steals, both of which rank second in the GLIAC. Malone (6-4, 4-4 GLIAC) enter the game on a three-game losing streak, most recently losing to Grand Valley State University 78-63 on Jan. 5. The Pioneers last win came against Saginaw State University on Dec. 15.
