NOTABLES: The Lake Erie College men's basketball team returns home after a four-game road trip to host Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division foes Malone University Thursday (Feb. 7) and Walsh University (Feb. 9). The Storm look to snap a two-game losing streak after falling to Saginaw Valley State University and Ashland University last weekend. Junior Riley Thomas (Cardington, Ohio/Cardington-Lincoln) averaged 13 ppg. last weekend... Sophomore Trey Howard (Lima, Ohio/Lima Shawnee) continued his mid-season surge, scoring in double-figures in each game... Junior Rich Austin (Cleveland, Ohio/St. Ignatius) returned to play 22 minutes against Saginaw Valley State after missing the previous six games with an injury. The Storm is averaging 9.2 steals per a game, which is tops in the GLIAC... LEC is shooting 37.1% from the the three-point arch, sixth in the GLIAC. Malone (11-8, 8-7 GLIAC) has lost two of its past three games, picking up a win over nonconference opponent Penn State University-Greater Allegheny in between losses to GLIAC foes University of Findlay and Walsh... The Storm defeated Malone 82-79 earlier in the season on Jan. 10... Jamil Dudley (Massillon, Ohio/Massillon) combined for 33 points in the win... Isiah Elliot leads the Pioneers with 19.2 ppg... Walsh (13-5, 9-5 GLIAC) enters Thursday's game against Ashland on a two-game winning streak after defeating Hillsdale College and Malone last weekend... Walsh handed the Storm a 87-76 loss on Jan. 12... Kenny Kornowski leads the Cavaliers with 18.5 ppg.
UP NEXT FOR LEC: The Storm take their final roadtrip of the season next weekend (Feb. 14-16) when they travel to Hillsdale and Findlay.
