FINDLAY, Ohio-- The Lake Erie College men's basketball team fell on the road to the University of Findlay, 74-49, Saturday (Jan. 25) in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division play.

The Oilers opened the game on an 11-1 run. Back-to-back three pointers from Riley Thomas (Cardington, Ohio/Cardington-Lincoln) and Michael Morris (New Palestine, Ind./New Palestine) narrowed the gap to 11-7 but Findlay went on a 12-0 run to re-establish control and took a 20 point lead into the break.

Sims had 11 points in the first-half to lead the Storm while Morris had six and five rebounds.

Four Oilers scored in double-figures, led by Greg Kahlig's 21 points. Dylan Kaufman contributed 15 while Alphonso Baity and Jake Heagen had 11 each. Heagen also had a game-high 12 rebounds for the double-double.

Findlay shot 46.7% (28-of-60) from the floor and 37% (10-of-27) from beyond the arch. The Oilers also led in rebounding (41-35) and held the advantage in turnovers (15-18).
