BAY CITY, Mich.—Lake Erie College men's basketball senior Riley Thomas (Cardington, Ohio/Cardington-Lincoln) was named to the 2013-14 All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Second-Team announced Monday (March 3).
The guard averaged 19.3 points per game this season. Thomas shot 43.5% from the floor, including 40.8% on three-pointers. He scored 20 or more points 14 times, including a career-high 33 Malone University, for which he earned GLIAC Player of the Week honors. In the Storm's win against Saginaw Valley State University on Dec. 18, Thomas scored his 1,000th career point.
In other GLIAC news, the University of Findlay's Greg Kahlg earned Player of the Year honors, C.J. Turnage of Saginaw Valley was earned Freshman of the Year honors and Lake Superior State University Head Coach Steve Hettinga was named Coach of the Year.
