GAME NOTES

The Lake Erie College men's basketball team opens up Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play this weekend at Ferris State University (Dec. 3) and Grand Valley State University (Dec. 5). 

"We are excited to begin our GLIAC schedule," said Storm Head Coach Cliff Hunt.  "Both Ferris State and Grand Valley are great challenges playing them at their arenas, and they are both undefeated.  As always, we need to defend and rebound against teams that will really test our ability on the boards." 

LAST TIME OUT: The Storm fell on the road to Notre Dame College 90-87 Monday (Nov. 30).  Trey Howard led the Storm with 21 points, hitting nine-of-15 shots.  Sean Howard netted 16 and led the Storm with seven rebounds and four assists.  Michael Morris scored 14 while Collin Barth added 11 off the bench. 

SERIES HISTORY: This marks the sixth meeting between the Storm and the Bulldogs, with the Bulldogs winning the first five.  The Storm fell to them 83-62 last season in Painesville.  The Storm and the Lakers have met six times, with the Lakers winning five.  Last season, the Storm defeated them 73-60 in Painesville. 

OPPOSITION POSITION: Ferris State is off to a 6-0 start, most recently picking up a 84-58 win on the road against Wisconsin-Parkside.  Jared Stolicker leads the Bulldogs, averaging 19.0 points per game.  The Lakers enter the game with a 5-0 mark, most recently downing Salem International 91-60 at home.  Luke Ryskamp leads the Lakers in scoring, averaging 17.6 points per game.  

FORECAST: The Storm returns home Dec. 12 to face Hillsdale College in GLIAC play.
