TIFFIN, Ohio— The Lake Erie College men's basketball team avenged a one point loss to Tiffin University earlier this season with a 73-70 win over the Dragons Thursday (Feb. 18) in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division play.

The Storm started the game off hot, scoring the first seven points before the Dragons got on the board.  Their lead increased to 11, 13-22, before the Dragons started to chip away, bringing the lead to 18-12 at midway through the half.

The Dragons would tie the game at 25 with just over three minutes to play in the half.  Brogan Scott (Wadsworth, Ohio/Highland) put the Storm back in front with a lay-up a minute later.   After the Dragons answered, Roy Alexander (Columbus, Ohio/Walnut Ridge) gave the Storm a lead once again with under a minute to go.  After trading baskets, the Dragons hit a three right before the end of the half to take a32-31 lead into the locker room.

Bosley tied the game at 33 early in the second half and eventually gave the Storm a 37-36 lead minutes later.  The Dragons cut the lead to one at the first media timeout.  A layup by Bosley and a three by Nick Wells (Akron, Ohio/St. Vincent-St. Mary's) pushed the Storm's advantage to six, 47-41.  The lead was cut to one before a Collin Barth (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) layup brought the lead back up to three.

The Dragons tied the game at 51 with nine minutes to play before a three by Alexander put the Storm back in front.  The Storm maintained the advantage, leading 60-54 with five minutes to play.

Sean Howard extended the lead to nine a minute later after a steal by Alexander.  The teams went back-and-forth as the Storm owned a 67-60 lead with just over a minute to play.

The Dragons cut the lead to four with a three but Trey Howard and Michael Morris (New Palestine, Ind./Indianapolis) scored four straight to put the game out of reach for the Dragons.

Sean Howard ended the game with 19 points, hitting four-of-five three-pointers.  Bosley finished with 15 points with nine rebounds, four steals and three blocks.  Trey Howard was also in double-digits with 11 points and four assists.
