Bosley Nets 1,000th Point but Storm Falls to Ashland

ASHLAND, Ohio—Senior Andy Bosley netted his 1,000th career point Thursday (Feb. 25) at 11th-ranked Ashland University but the Storm fell to the Eagles, 83-65, in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play.

Bosley entered the game just three points shy of 1,000.  He reached the mark with a layup in the second half.  He finished the game with 11 points, six rebounds and three steals.

The Storm and the Eagles traded baskets early on but the Eagles started to pull away, taking a 30-18 lead midway through the half.  The Eagles maintained their lead throughout the rest of the half, taking a 54-34 lead into the half. 

Roy Alexander (Columbus, Ohio/Walnut Ridge) led the Storm with 10 points in the first half while Michael Morris (New Palestine, Ind./New Palestine) had nine.  In the opening half, the Storm hit six-fo-13 threes.

The Storm cut into the lead early in the second half but the Eagles continued to control the tempo of the game to secure the win.

Morris ended the game with 19 points, hitting five threes, and grabbed four rebounds.  Steve Walczak (Columbus, Ohio/Olentangy) had seven points and five rebounds.  Alexander finished with 10 points and four assists. 

The Storm committed just eight turnovers while forcing 15.  The bench accounted for 20 points.  The Storm also added 16 second chance points.
