Storm Ready for Ferris St. and Grand Valley (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College men's basketball team will be in action Thursday (Jan. 5) and Saturday (Jan. 7) when they host Ferris St. and Grand Valley St. respectively.

Storm Report: The Storm is 2-12 overall this season.  The Storm ended 2016 with a win over Cedarville and look to carry that momentum over into the new year.  Head Coach Kyle Conley said " Ferris and Grand Valley St. are two big, physical teams".  Conley added "We will need to play with the toughness that is required to come away with a pair of wins this weekend".

Opposition Position: The Bulldogs are 10-3 overall and 4-2 in conference play and are led by Zach Hankins.  Coach Conley said "Hankins is one of the best big men in the league, he is tremendous on both ends of the floor".  The Lakers are 8-5 overall and 4-2 in GLIAC play and led by a strong defense.  "Coach Wesley is a great basketball coach, and has his team playing at another level defensively right now.  It is tough for teams to score against them" said Coach Conley.

Forecast: The Storm will return to the hardwood Thursday (Jan. 12) when they travel to take on Tiffin with the game set to tip at 7:30 p.m.
