Storm Basketball Teams Up for Hurricane Relief

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College men's and women's basketball teams will be playing Hiram College Wednesday (Nov. 1) in an effort to generate funds for Hurricane relief efforts.  All proceeds will go to the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the Red Cross.   

The game will be played at Lake Erie College in the Osborne Center.  The men's game will tip off at 5:30 p.m. and the women's game will tip off at 7:30 p.m.  In order to be admitted into the games a donation will be required.  Fans 12 and older will require a five dollar donation to enter.  Students, Faculty, and Staff will require a one dollar donation with a valid school I.D.

The officials for the women's contest are Tony Capasso, Joe Humeston, and Sarah Burgess. They will all be donating their time to the cause. 

The men's basketball team will open regular season play with a trip to Ashland on Friday (Nov. 10) and the women will open their season at home Saturday (Nov. 11) when they host Tiffin.
