Whites Tied for 29th After First Day of NCAA Regional

DAY ONE RESULTS

PAINESVILLE, OHIO- Sophomore Frank Whites (Wickliffe, Ohio/Wickliffe) is tied for 29th with an opening-round 74 and junior C.J. Milo (Painesville, Ohio/Mentor) is just one stroke behind after the first round of the NCAA Great Lakes Region Invitational #1 Sunday (Sept. 20) at Hawks Head Golf Course in South Haven, Mich.

The Storm is in 20th place as a team after a team score of 317. The second and final round will be held on Monday (Sept. 21).

In addition to Whites and Milo, freshman Mike Guarino (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) shot 82 to tie for 100th, senior Steve Bragg (New Philadelphia, Ohio/New Philadelphia) shot 86 and junior Mike Meyers (Painesville, Ohio/Riverside) shot 87. 

Ferris State leads the team standings at 286, just two shots ahead of Findlay. The Bulldogs' Eric Lilleboe is the individual leader with a 5-under 67. Twenty-four teams and over 120 golfers are competing at the event.
