Men Slip to 12th After Second Round of GLIAC Championships

ELYRIA, OHIO -- The Lake Erie College men's golf team posted a score of 316, just three shots behind the previous days pace, but the Storm fell four spots to 12th after the second round of the 2012 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship on Monday (Oct. 15).

The Storm's two-day total of 629 is four shots behind 11th place Northern Michigan University.  Tiffin University leads the team standings by three strokes over Ferris State University.

Lake Erie's top individual so far are junior Jay Schiffbauer (Fairport Harbor, Ohio/Fairport Harbor) and senior Mike Guarino (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) in a tie for 46th place.

The third and final round tees off Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 9 a.m. at Elyira Country Club.
