CENTERVILLE, MASS. – For the second straight week, Lake Erie College took home Offensive Player of the Week honors from the East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II Lacrosse League with junior attacker Trevor Tarte (Amherstburg, Ont./Kiski Prep) taking home the honors Monday (March 11).  In addition, freshman midfielder Ryan Jurek (Hamburg, N.Y./Hamburg) was named Rookie of the Week.

Tarte totaled 13 goals and three assists in two games last weekend, posting back-to-back eight-point games as the Storm ran their record to 3-0 for the first time in program history. He scored seven  goals and had an assist in an 18-3 victory at Mars Hill College Friday (March 8)and then added six goals and two assists against Lees-McRae Sunday (March 10). He now has three eight-point games and two seven goal games in his career, both totals sharing school single-game records. On the season, Tarte leads the team with 17 goals and 20 points.

Jurek scored four goals and added an assist for five points in two games last week. He scored a season and career-high three goals and had an assist for his first four-point game in an 18-3 win over Mars Hill on Friday.
The undefeated Storm (3-0), who lead NCAA Division II in scoring and scoring margin, host fourth-ranked Merrimack College Saturday, March 16, for the home opener at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium.
