Bal Named ECAC D2 Player of the Week for Third Time

CENTERVILLE, MASS. -- Lake Erie College senior attacker Keegan Bal (Coquitlam, B.C./Centennial Secondary) was named East Coast Athletic Conference Division II Lacrosse League Offensive Player of the Week Monday (April 22) by the league office.  It is the third time this season that the Storm co-captain has garnered the ECAC weekly honor.

Bal totaled nine goals and four assists for 13 points in two games last week for the Storm (9-3, 4-2 ECAC), scoring his nine goals on just 12 total shots. He found the net six times on seven shots and addedan assist for seven points in the Storm's 13-12 loss to #1 Mercyhurst University on Tuesday night (April 16) and then had a 3-goal, 3-assist afternoon in the 18-8 win over Rollins College on Senior Day Sunday (April 21).

In the loss to the Lakers, Bal became the first player in school history to total50 points in a season and reached the 60-point mark against Rollins. He has 22 points in his last three games (13 g, 9 a), helping the Storm clinch a spot in next month's ECAC Division II playoffs.
