PERRY, N.Y. -- After reaching the championship game of the ECAC Division II Tournament and earning a bid to the NCAA Championship, the Lake Erie College men's lacrosse team moved up one spot, from tenth to ninth, in the Week 11 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Coaches' Poll released Monday (May 6).

The Storm, 12-4 overall, flipped spot in the poll with Pfeiffer University.  It was essentially the same move Lake Erie made in the regional poll that earned them one of four South Region spots in the eight-team national tournament field.

After defeating eighth-ranked Seton Hill University, 12-10, in the ECAC semifinals Friday (May 3), Lake Erie lost to Mercyhurst University in the championship game Sunday, 13-7.  Mercyhurst is the number one team in the poll for the sixth consecutive week.

The Storm and Lakers will sqaure off in an NCAA Championship First Round Game Saturday, May 11, at 1 p.m.
