#6 Storm Travels to Mercy for Season Opener (PREVIEW)

The Lake Erie College men's lacrosse team travels to Mercy College for their 2016 season opener.

LAST TIME OUT: The Storm made it to the 2015 NCAA Division-II Semifinals before falling to eventual champion Limestone College.  In the quarterfinals, the Storm defeated the University of Tampa 15-7 in Painesville.  The Storm ended the season with a 15-3 record.  During the season, they defeated both of the Division-II finalists on the road- Le Moyne College and Limestone.  They also captured the second ECAC title.

SERIES HISTORY: The Storm is 0-3 all-time against Mercy.  Their last game was played in 2012, with the Storm falling 12-10 on the road.

OPPOSITION POSITION: The Mavericks are 2-0 this season, picking up wins over American International and Gregorian Court.

IN THE RANKINGS: The Storm check in at number six in the USILA/Nike Coaches Poll to start the season.

UP NEXT: The Storm travels to Lenoir-Rhyne on March 2.
