Stucky and Daly Combine to Lead Storm By Saginaw Valley

PAINESVILLE, OHIO - Junior Scott Stuckey (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon) scored two goals for the second straight game and senior Jared Daly (Hubbard, Ohio/Ursuline) made nine saves in goal as the Lake Erie College Men's Soccer team completed a two-game sweep through the state of Michigan with a 2-0 win at Saginaw Valley State on Sunday (Oct. 5).

Stuckey scored in the 17th and 87th minute for the Storm (4-6-1) which has won three of its last five (3-1-1). The goals were his team-leading seventh and eighth this season and he now has six goals in the last four games.

In goal, Daly turned away all nine shots on goal he faced in earning his first career shutout. Overall, Saginaw Valley held a 22-8 advantage in shots for the match.

Lake Erie will look to run its winning streak to three on Thursday, Oct. 8, when it hosts Ashland University at 4 p.m.
