GREENSBURG, Pa.-- For the second straight game to start the 2013 season, the Lake Erie College men's soccer team went into double-overtime, but this time Alfred Majer (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) found the back of the net with less than two minutes remaining to give the Storm a 1-0 win over nonconference foe Seton Hill University on Sunday (Sept. 8).

Neither team was able to find the back of the net in regulation. The Storm (1-0-1) outshot the Griffins (1-1) 15-8 but Seton Hill's Jordan Sodhi made eight saves to keep Lake Erie off the board.

After 108 minutes of scoreless play, Majer methodically worked his way past the Seton Hill defense and put the ball behind Sodhi in the far corner to give the Storm the double-overtime victory.

Filip Ljubevski (Ajax, Ont./Pickering) made five saves in net for the Storm while Sam Etherton (Alliance, Ohio/Alliance) made three stops as the two combined for the clean sheet.

The Storm is back in action on Friday (Sept. 13) as they open Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play against second-ranked Saginaw Valley State University in Painesville.
