Storm Draw Against # 3 Saginaw Valley, 0-0

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Lake Erie College men's soccer team tied today (October 5th) against  # 3 Saginaw Valley, 0-0. With the draw the Storm are now 3-4-2 overall and 2-3-2 in the confernece and the Cardinals are now 8-0-2 overall and 5-0-2 in conference play.  

The first and second half were a hard fought scoreless battle, in which both teams had multiple opportunities to score.  The Storm outshot the Cardinals 19-9, and seven of the 19 shots were on goal. 

In overtime neither team was able to score and the end result is a scoreless draw.  Junior midfielder Ryan Gibson (Dublin, Ohio / Dublin Scioto) led the team in shot attempts with five shots, two  of which were on goal.    

In goal for the Storm was junior Filip Ljubevski (Ajax, Ont. / Pikering) he faced 12 shots, five of which were on goal, made five saves and allowed zero goals. 

Lake Erie will be back in action when they travel to Tiffin, Ohio to take on Tiffin University at 2 P.M. on Friday (October 10th).
