KANSAS CITY, Mo.--  Lake Erie College men's soccer senior defender Jospeh Coombs was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NCSAA) All-Midwest Second-Team for his outstanding play during the 2015 season, where he helped the Storm reach the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship.

Earlier this week, Coombs (Knutsford, England/Holmes Chapel Sixth Form) was named to the All-Conference Commissioners Association (CCA) Division-II All-Region Second-Team

Coombs was previously named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Defender of the Year and earned a spot on the All-GLIAC First-Team. Coombs anchored the Storm defense throughout the season.  The defense posted four shutouts and allowed just one goal in three other games. Aside from his defensive premise, Coombs scored three goals, including the gamewinner against Walsh University at home and the game tying goal against Saginaw Valley State University in the GLIAC semifinals.  In his career, Coombs has totaled six goals and one assist in 52 games.
