Goldberg Improves to 2-0, but Storm Men Fall at Roberts Welseyan

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. –  Freshman Liam Goldberg (Melbourne, Victoria,Australia/Haileybury College) continued his strong play in the nontraditional season, but he was the lone winner Sunday (Oct. 7) for the Lake Erie College men's tennis team in an 8-1 loss at Roberts Wesleyan College.

Goldberg defeated Julio Toledo at first singles in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2 to improve to 2-0 on the season.  However, the RedHawks (7-1) won the other five singles matches in straight sets.  The hosts also swept the three doubles matches.

The match concluded the fall season for the Storm (0-2), who will open the spring campaign in February with a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) road trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
