Lake Erie looks to break a string of postponements by getting in a neutral-site twin bill against Grand Valley State (Mich.), a program that has earned 40-plus wins in each of the last three seasons. The Storm have had multiple dates rescheduled since a March 22 doubleheader against Saginaw Valley, a series also played at Walsh's sunny environs 70 minutes south of Painesville. The Storm lost those games against the Cardinals, with the games marking the opening of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play for LEC.

Grand Valley opened their GLIAC schedule on Sunday, splitting a doubleheader at Walsh. The 2013 GLIAC runners-up have won 5-of-their-last-6.

BIGGER BATS: Lake Erie is batting .293 (101-of-345) on the season, more-than-100 points higher than the .184 figure (149-OF-808) the team posted a year ago. Four regulars – Kate-Lynn Urgo (.385), Jeniffer Gratz (.368), Elizabeth Karako (.323), Lindsay Valvoda (.314) – are batting over .300 for the season.

STREAK ADDRESS: Jennifer Gratz heads into Monday's action with an eight-game hit streak. Gratz has four multi-hit games on the year, and with four doubles and a home run, owns the team's second-highest slugging percentage (.553).

PLATE COVERAGE: When Lake Erie scores first this season, the Storm are 3-2. When the opponent scores first, LEC is 0-8.
