Kristin Hall was announced as 13th head coach of the Lake Erie softball program in January 2011.  Hall, a former softball standout at Schreiner University, led Lake Erie to a two-game improvement in her first season and had two players named to the All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Team.

Hall spent the past two seasons as an assistant at St. Andrews Presbyterian College, a Division II school in Laurinburg, N.C. where she helped the Knights reach Championship Sunday of the 209 Conference Carolinas softball tournament. 

Before beginning her tenure at St. Andrew’s, Hall was an assistant coach for two seasons at her alma mater, Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas.   

As a student-athlete, Hall was a four-year letter-winner for the Mountaineers, earning All-American Southwest West Division honorable mention in 2001 and National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar-Athlete in 2003.  In addition, Hall was the starting goalkeeper on the women’s soccer team her senior year, earning conference play of the week honors and setting several school records which still stand. 

Hall earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Schreiner in 2004 and a master’s degree in education with a concentration in sport and leisure management from Texas State University in 2006.

Jeff Morganti joined the Lake Erie softball program as an assistant coach for the 2012 season.  Morganti comes to the college ranks after a highly successful career as a high school coach. 

Morganti spent seven seasons as the head coach at Eastlake North High School and one season at West Geauga High School.  At Eastlake, Morganti compiled a 125-72 record, winning three Premier Athletic Conference Championships and one district title.  He was named PAC Coach of the Year three times and was honored as Coach of the Year by the Cleveland Plain Dealer and the News-Herald in 2003 and 2008. 

Morganti is currently an intervention specialist at Willoughby South High School.  He also has an extensive background in broadcasting with experience at WAKC-TV (ABC) Akron, WEWS 5 (ABC) Cleveland, WTAM 1100 Cleveland and ESPN Radio. 

He graduate from the University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in Mass-Media Communications and received his master’s degree from Cleveland State University in Communications.  At Kirtland High School, he was an accomplished basketball player earning All-Ohio honors. 

Morganti currently resides in Mentor, Ohio with his Deanna.

 

Rachel Pacholke

Rachel Pacholke joined the Lake Erie softball program as an assistant coach for the 2012 season.  Morganti comes to the college ranks after an accomplished career as a college player. 

Pacholke played collegiately at  Southern Wesleyan University, Indiana Wesleyan University and Mercyhurst North East College. At Mercyhurst North East she won a pair of conference championships, a region championship and was named NFCA All-Region and the school's female athlete of the year.  At Indiana Wesleyan, Pacholke competed in the NAIA National Tournament and was a third place national qualifier in the NCCAA.  At Souther Wesleyan, Pacholke was a team captain. 

Pacholke also has experience as a travel ball coach and umpire.  

She graduated from the Southern Wesleyan University (S.C.) with a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Leisure.

Pacholke currently resides in Eastlake, Ohio.
