Storm Swimming Adds Two Recruits

PAINESVILLE, OHIO—The Lake Erie College Swimming team added its first two recruits of the fall signing period as Patrick Daniel Bolda Jr. (Griffith, Ind./Griffith) and Meri Cizmar (Zagreb, Croatia/X. Gimnazija Ivan Supek) have signed on to join the Storm in 2013-14.

"We are very excited for these early signees to join the Storm Swimming Family!" said head coach Nicole Rose. "This is a great start to our recruiting efforts as we add two highly talented swimmers."

Bolda is a four-year letterman out of Griffith High School in Griffith, Indiana and was named "Rookie of the Year" his freshman season and was a Northwest Crossroads All-Conference 200-yard freestyle swimmer in 2012. He also played two years of soccer for the Panthers at right midfield 

"Danny is a versatile swimmer and we expect that he will be able to come in and immediately contribute to the success of our men's program."

Cizmar is a multiple time youth champion and vice-champion out of Zagreb, Croatia and is the sister of current Storm All-American Ivan Cizmar. Meri has participated in the European Youth Olympic Games in Tampere, Finland and is also the national junior record holder in the 4X100 medley relay.

"Meri is a very strong swimmer and we think she will make an incredible impact on our women's program.  Meri has the ability to strengthen any one of our relays and contribute in a multitude of individual events at the conference level."
