PAINESVILLE, Ohio-- The Lake Erie College men's and women's swimming teams were named to the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team for the fall 2012 semester.

The Storm women averaged a GPA of 3.43 in the fall,, which ranked as the eighth-highest total of ll NCAA Division II programs nationally. The men were close behind, averaging a GPA of 3.16 in the fall, which ranked as the tenth-best in Division II. 

"I am incredibly proud of the men's and women's teams for this accomplishment and we will certainly be striving to make this a part of our teams' tradition," said head coach Nikki Rose. "We want to strive for excellence in and out of the pool."

In the pool, junior Julian Milinkovskyi (Zaporozhye, Ukraine) and sophomore All-American Ivan Cizmar (Zagreb, Croatia/X. Gimnazija Ivan Supek) are set to represent the Storm at the 2013 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships in Birmingham, Ala. Match 6-9.
