GAMBIER, Ohio – A number of Lake Erie swimmers competed in the Kenyon Fast Chance Invitational on Saturday.
Chief among their performances was a pool-record, first-place finish by Julian Milinkovskyi in the men's 200-yard individual medley. Milinkovskyi logged a program-record time of 1:48.28, a mark that ranks sixth in the nation.
Brother Yan Milinkovskyi took first place in the men's 100 butterfly with a season-best time of 49.77 seconds.
Lauren Menicucci (women's 100-yard breaststroke) and Ivan Cizmar (100 backstroke) posted sixth-place finishes for the Storm. Menucucci also swam the 200 breast, and in that race she touched in with a program-record-time of 2:25.55.
