Stars earn stripes in national meet

GENEVA, Ohio – Lake Erie registered 15 more points on Saturday to finish 24th in the 2014 Men's NCAA-II National Championship.

Ivan Cizmar earned an All-America honorable mention in the 200-yard backstroke and Julian Milinkovskyi earned an All-America slot by placing sixth in the 200 breaststroke. Milinkovskyi qualified for the evening final in the 200 breast with a time of 1:58.55. He swam the championship final in 1:58.19.

Milinkovskyi claimed two All-America finishes for the meet; he placed eighth in the 200 individual medley on Thursday. Those two top-eight finishes are the second and third in the history of LEC Swimming & Diving.

The Storm's Saturday performances upped Lake Erie's four-day total to 36.5 points. Drury (Mo.) won the men's title with 569.5 points. Florida Southern placed second with 361 points.
