Stephanie Rogers Named ECAC co-Player of the Week

PAINESVILLE, OHIO - Lake Erie College sophomore center/forward Stephanie Rogers (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) was named East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week on Tuesday, Dec. 15.

 Rogers received the award following her most valuable player performance at the Mansfield Comfort Inn Classic this past weekend. She helped lead the Storm to a 2-0 record at the event with wins over host Mansfield University and Slippery Rock University by averaging 13 points, 7 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game.  In the 85-73 win over Slippery Rock, Rogers scored 17 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked five shots, matching her career-high. She also went 9-of-10 from the foul line in the game.

 On the season, Rogers is averaging 10.5 points and 7.7 rebounds per game and leads the team with 24 blocked shots.

 Rogers and the Storm return to the court on Thursday night, Dec. 17, at home against Mercyhurst College. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
