STORM LOOKS FOR FOURTH STRAIGHT: Coming off three straight impressive victories, the Lake Erie College women's basketball team will look to match its season-long four-game winning streak on Saturday, Jan. 9, at Central State.  In addition, a 12th win on the season would make this the second most successful season in school history.

BOOHER HITS 50-WIN MARK: With the 67-64 win at Fairmont State on Jan. 3, head coach Bob Booher became the first coach in Lake Erie history to reach the 50-win plateau. Booher is 50-72 at the school.

IN RARE AIR: The 11 wins by the Storm this season are tied for the second most in a single season in school history (2006-07).  Only six teams in LEC's 30 years have reached double figures in wins, including three in the last four years.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE STORM: The Storm won both games it played at the Fairmont State Alumni Classic last weekend to run its winning streak to three.  LEC held previously unbeaten Concord to 28 percent shooting and senior Renese Ames had her first career double-double in a 53-46 win on Saturday.  On Sunday, the Storm rallied in the final minutes to knock off host Fairmont State, 67-64, behind sophomore Stephanie Rogers' double-double (20 points, 12 reb). Ames had 16 points in that win.

FILLING THE TROPHY CASE: This weekend marked the fourth time this season that Lake Erie has claimed a classic title with a 2-0 record.  After opening the year with a pair of losses at the Wheeling Jesuit Tip-Off Classic, the Storm has won eight straight games at four two-day events.

STEPH STUFFS THE STAT SHEET: In the two games at Fairmont State, sophomore post Stephanie Rogers did a bit of everything as the Storm swept the weekend.  She averaged 16 points, 10.5 rebounds, 4.0 blocks and 3.0 steals per game. Against Fairmont State, Rogers set a number of personal milestones scoring her 500th career point, grabbing her 300th rebound and blocking her 100th shot all in the same game.

MAKING A RUN AT RECORD SQUAD: This year's LEC team is making a serious run at the 2007-08 squad that posted the best season in school history with a 16-11 mark.  With eight games remaining, the Storm is just five wins shy of reaching that record total. In addition, this year's team is only the second team in school history, other than the ‘07-08 team, to have two winning streaks of at least three games in the same season and to be at least three-games over .500 this late into the year.

30th SEASON OF STORM HOOPS: This is the 30th season in Lake Erie women's basketball history dating back to the 1978-79 season.  To date, the Storm has posted an overall record of 163-498 (.244).  However, over 30 percent of the program's all-time wins have come in the last five seasons under head coach Bob Booher.

UP NEXT: The Storm returns home to host area rival Ursuline College on Monday, Jan. 12, at 7 p.m.
