Lake Erie Women Continue to Rank High in NCAA Statistics

PAINESVILLE, OHIO --  The Lake Erie College women's basketball team continues to rank high in several statistical categories according to the latest NCAA Division II national rankings released on Wednesday, Jan. 13.

 

Sophomore post Stephanie Rogers (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) continues to rank ninth nationally in blocked shots, averaging 2.7 per game.  As a team, the Storm moved up two spots to 22nd at 4.7 bpg. 

 

Junior forward Alyssa Wagers (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls) remained in 39th place in rebounding at 9.4 rpg. But did crack the top 100 in free throw percentage, moving up to 93rd place at 80.8 percent. 

 

Sophomore guard Jen Caiola (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Chagrin Falls) is up three spots to 50th nationally in three-pointers made per game (2.5). 

 

Additionally, the Storm ranks 43rd in turnovers per game (down three spots) and 46th in turnover margin (up two).

 

The rankings are through games of Jan. 10 and do not include the Storm's 91-60 win over Ursuline College at home Tuesday night (Jan. 12).  The team returns to the court on Saturday, Jan. 23 at home against Urbana University.
