Women’s Basketball Recognized for Outstanding Team Academics

PAINESVILLE, OHIO – The Lake Erie College women's basketball team was recognized on the Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll for the 2010-11 season, the Women's Basketball Coaches Association announced today.  Lake Erie placed 20th among NCAA Division II institutions with a 3.456 team GPA.

Led by Head Coach Bob Booher, the women's basketball team has 12 players which boast at least 3.20 GPA.  Leading the way with GPAs of at least 3.9 are upcoming seniors Britt Busson (Wadsworth, Ohio/Wadsworth), Allison Pavkov (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls), junior Sarah Wojciechowski (Randolph, Ohio/Waterloo) and sophomore Jodie Jindra (Sunbury, Ohio/Big Walnut). 

As a whole, the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference was well represented on the list with six teams making the top 25.
