PAINESVILLE, OHIO -- Following an 11-day break from their season opening victory over Seton Hill University, the Lake Erie College women's basketball team returns to the court this afternoon for a nonconference contest against the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.  Today's game is the first of four in the next seven calendar days for LEC. The Storm is looking to win its second straight game after a 67-61 victory over Seton Hill on Nov. 13.  Lake Erie is also looking to go 2-0 for the second straight season.

SERIES HISTORY/LAST MEETING:  This is just the third meeting between the two schools and first here in Painesville.  Lake Erie owns a 2-0 record against UPJ, including an 86-62 victory last season at the UPJ Sports Center.

OPPOSITION POSITION: The Lady Cats (0-2, 0-2 WVIAC) dropped their second straight close game to open the season on Tuesday night (Nov. 22) as Bluefield State College hit a pair of free throws with seven seconds left to defeat UPJ, 81-79.  Despite the loss Kaitlynn Fratz, last year's WVIAC Freshman of the Year, scored 21 points for the second straight game. Freshman center Jasmine Harper is the only other player for UPJ scoring in double figures at 10.0 points per game.  The Lady Cats have lost their first two games by a total of five points.

UP NEXT: Lake Erie has a quick turnaround, hosting Ursuline College on Monday night, Nov. 26.
