LEC TO HOST TWO GLIAC UNBEATENS IN RETURN TO HOME HARDWOOD: Lake Erie will return home for two games this week, with the Storm hosting a pair of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference North Division squads that are thus far undefeated in league play. LEC will host Michigan Tech on Thursday night and then Northern Michigan on Saturday afternoon. Through last weekend's games, MTU and NMU were a combined 17-3 overall and 12-0 in GLIAC play. The Green & White head into the twin home games -- the front half of four in row at home -- off an impressive road win at Northwood (Mich.) last Saturday. That victory -- a 61-59 decision in a thriller -- snapped a six-game losing streak. ... LEC is thus far 1-2 on the season at home. The Storm will be in the friendly confines of the Osborne Athletic Center for seven of its next nine games.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES: Michigan Tech went 1-2 in November, and the Huskies have rattled off seven straight wins since. MTU has a win against a top-10 team (Concordia-St. Paul) and an unblemished record in GLIAC play on its resume. The Huskies rank among the circuit's top-3 in most statistical categories and they are battled-tested in tough games -- MTU has played six games that have been decided by six points or less.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS: NMU hasn't lost since Nov. 27, and the Wildcats have won six straight heading into a Thursday road tilt at Ashland. Junior G ALYSSA COLLA leads NMU, averaging 15.3 PPG and 3.7 APG. The Wildcats rank third in the GLIAC in scoring and second in fewest points allowed. NMU has drained 7.9 threes per game and is one of the top free-throw shooting teams in the country.
