Storm Signs Four During Fall Signing Period

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – Lake Erie College Women's Basketball head coach Brook Kohlheim has announced that four recruits have signed National Letters of Intent with Storm Women's Basketball for the 2019 class.

"We love the way this class came together and the way they have bought into the vision that we are building towards here at Lake Erie", Coach Kohlheim said. "These are confident women that want to compete and challenge themselves to help this current roster put Lake Erie on the map. We love the fact that all of them distribute the ball and defend well. This class knows how to work hard in the classroom, compete on the floor and have fun at the same time. They are a perfect fit for what we are building her at Lake Erie College. "

Sydney Wyngarden is a three time varsity captain for Hillard Darby High School. Her sophomore season she set the single season assist record at Hilliard Darby, and last season she averaged 12.2 points per game, 5.3 assists per game, 2.9 rebounds per game, and 2.7 steals per game. She received Second Team All-Conference, All-District Honorable Mention, and Team MVP Honors.

 Lauren Flannery is a two time All-Ohio Second Team and two time First Team All-Conference honoree as a varsity player for River High School in Hannibal, Ohio. Flannery surpassed 1,000 career points scored as a junior, and averaged 21 points per game. Additionally, she was the District Player of the Year.

Zaria Bridgewater attends Henry Ford Academy in Dearborn, MI. Bridgewater was an impact player and a force behind the Navigators back-to-back District Championships. She is a Second Team All-Conference honoree, and averaged 9.8 points per game, 2.9 rebounds per game, 2.6 assists per game, and 3.4 steals per game in her junior season. Additionally, she is a four time All-Academic Team award winner.

 Angela Fink led the county in assists for the Brunswick Blue Devils, and also earned First Team All-Conference, First Team All-County, and All-District Honorable Mention honors. She averaged 9.6 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game, 4.5 assists per game, and 2 steals per game in her junior season.

The women's basketball team hits the road for a game against Clarion University tomorrow. Tip-off is scheduled for 2pm..
