Northwood Holds Off Ohio Dominican to Win LEC Qdoba Fall Invitational

CHESTERLAND, OHIO –  Bolstered by two of the top three finishers, Northwood University earned a seven-stroke victory over Ohio Dominican University at the Lake Erie College Fall Invitational presented by Qdoba Mexican Grill on Monday (Sept. 24) at Fowler's Mill Golf Course in Chesterland.

Individual medalist Brittany Davidson led the Timberwolves with a two-day total of 80-79-159 on the Par-71, 5,821-yard course.  Teammate Amee Cox (81-83-164) tied for second place with Deborah Landis (82-82-164) of Tiffin University.

Lake Erie was represented by three individual golfers.  Senior Megan Lundblad (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) finished in 33rd place with a score of 98-105-203, followed by freshmen Libby Devlin (Fort Wayne, Ind./Bishop Luers) at 111-106-217 and Amanda Watts (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls) at 119-107-226.

Northwood finished with a two-round team total of 683 while Ohio Dominican came in at 690, two strokes ahead of Walsh University in the six-team field.

The Storm women are next in action Oct. 7-8 at the University of Findlay's Bing Beall Classic.
