Storm Picked to Finish Second in Preseason GLIAC Coaches' Poll
BAY CITY, Mich—The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) released their inaugural women's lacrosse Preseason Coaches' Poll on Friday. Lake Erie College was picked to finish second in the conference after receiving 51 points and three first-place votes.
The Storm (7-10, 1-7 ECC in 2012) return 13 letterwinners from their 2012 campaign while losing only three players.
Grand Valley State University finished first in the poll after receiving 56 points and seven first-place votes. Notre Dame College tied Lake Erie for second-place but did not receive any first-place votes. Tiffin University (43) and the University of Findlay (40) were voted in at third and fourth respectively. Wheeling Jesuit University (33), Urbana University (24), Alderson-Broaddus College (13) and Walsh University (13) rounded out the rest of the poll.
Lake Erie opens their 2013 season in Mesa, Colo on March 4 against Adams State University.
