Vargo Reaches Championship Finals, Finishes as Runner-Up at 157

Zak Vargo finished second at 157 pounds at the NCAA DII Championships Saturday night (March 9), falling to top-ranked Cory Dauphin 4-2 in the finals. The loss ended the un-ranked Vargo's run that included three shutout victories over top-six opponents on his way to earning Lake Erie's highest finish. His 19 points tied the Storm for 17th overall on the team standings.

Five Storm Wrestlers Named to Coaches Association DII All-Academic Team

Sophomore national qualifier Ian Ross and junior Zev Green were named to the Division II All-Academic Second Team by the DII Wrestling Coaches Association while Jared Merritt, Isaac Morisette and Tyler Tesny were honorable mention selections.
