Women’s Soccer Closes Season with Loss to Tiffin

Lake Erie College (3-14-1, 1-13 GLIAC) closed its season with a 7-0 loss to GLIAC South Division leader Tiffin University (11-4-2, 9-3-2)  in a home match at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium in Painesville, Ohio. 

Tiffin got on the board Alex Savastakis scored from 20 yards out when freshman goalie Megan Baldacci (Cavecreek, Ariz./Cactus Shadows) could not handle the kick.  Starting in the 19th minute, the Dragons got three goals in a five minute span with Ashley Davis netting two and Amanda Case scoring the other.  Tiffin took that 4-0 advantage to half. 

The Dragons started off the second half quickly as a minute and a half in they drew a penality inside the box and Lauren Bowyer converted.  Lake Erie began racking up shot but it was Tiffin which kept adding to its lead as Alesha Holloway scored in the 74th minute and Hannah Stevens connected in the 79th

Baldacci made 10 saves for the Storm in the loss. 

Tiffin won the battle of shots, 22-13, and corner kicks, 6-2.
