Lake Erie Ends Season With Loss to Walsh, 4-0

NORTH CANTON, Ohio- The Lake Erie College women's soccer team ended the 2016 regular season with a 4-0 loss on the road to the Walsh University Cavaliers on Friday (Oct. 28) night.

Lake Erie finished the regular season with a 7-10 record and 2-9 in the GLIAC.

Walsh controlled the offensive pace as they took 11 shots in the first half. The Cavaliers got three goals in the final twenty minutes of the first half, to lead 3-0 at the intermission.

Lake Erie outshot the Cavaliers 10-9 in the second half but the Storm could not score. Walsh got another goal in the 56th minute to complete the scoring.

Walsh led the shot total, 20-12. Elizabeth Awuah (Pickerington, Ohio / Pickerington Central) led the Storm with three shots in the game.

Marissa Brannon (Concord, Ohio / Lake Catholic) made five saves in the game with four goals allowed.
